Job Overview: The Product Marketing Manager is the strategic leader of all marketing aspects of specific product lines. This role works closely with product management, content, marketing, and other company stakeholders to develop and execute marketing plans. The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for achieving business goals and objectives through continuous analysis and optimization, market research, developing user personas, crafting effective positioning, and messaging, and aligning marketing roadmaps with product roadmaps.


Responsibilities:

  • Spearheads Product Marketing workflow with key departments, including business units, marketing, content, product management, sales, to ensure execution of strategic and tactical go-to-market (GTM) plans to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with product management to determine product/market opportunity, establish success measures, and align marketing roadmap with product roadmap.
  • Develop effective go-to-market plans based on market research and partner cross-functionally to successfully execute.
  • Understands the products and services offering and approach of key competitors; communicates products and services differentiation and provides input to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Is the voice of the consumer and develops user personas to inform offering, positioning, and messaging across the organization.
  • Leads cross-functionally to successfully implement or optimize position, messaging, marketing strategy, and user experience, to drive acquisition and retention.
  • Supports a variety of internal communications needs to ensure widespread awareness and acceptance of marketing efforts.
  • Track performance of products and service offerings in assigned markets and identify opportunities for optimization and growth. Leverage performance insights to inform the marketing and product roadmaps.



Job requirements

Competencies Required:

  • B.A. or B.S. with 5+ years of B2C Product Marketing Experience.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Experience positioning technical products to the general consumer.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
  • Sharp market research capabilities with an ability to effectively gather, analyze, and disseminate key information and influence decision making based on data.
  • Ability to lead and drive a launch forward while still staying laser focused on the big picture and strategy.
  • Expert at developing and orchestrating effective marketing strategy and launch plans, including methods for customer acquisition, retention, performance optimization, and measuring effectiveness.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, including PPC, Organic, Content, Email, Affiliate
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and brands to achieve business objectives.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, BI reporting, and data visualization tools.
  • Advanced utilization of Microsoft Excel to export, analyze and present data through pivot reports, tables, and other advanced functions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience with regulated markets and products a plus.


Performance Expectations:

  • Leads key initiatives for Product Marketing workflow design which support efficiency, streamline communication, and improve ability to effectively manage priorities.
  • Proactively leverages data, customer, and market insights to identify and drive new marketing-led growth opportunities.
  • Proactively champions cross-functional teams to facilitate GTM plans that support business goals.
  • Successfully launches, tracks and revisits portfolio performance with the goal of meeting forecast.
